Adrift upon an ice planet, human child Benedicta yearns for home; and yet the only one offering such a return to Earth is her ‘mother’, Heiðrún, the very creature destined to destroy it.

The Ways in Which Peace Falls is an origin story, inspired by those timeless tales of belonging that unveil new lands, embolden our hearts, and set us off on adventures we might never have otherwise imagined.
Sam Rawlings

The Ways in Which Peace Falls was written out of personal loss, its creation helping to re-orientate and re-inspire a sense of belonging. Some years previously, I co-founded a social enterprise publishing company, and during that time edited two collaborative book projects: The Book of Apertures, and Time. Now an English teacher, I’ve found my home within Dartmoor’s numinous landscape, from which I receive much inspiration.
Virginia Lee

You’ll find me living in the wilds of Dartmoor, England, where I grew up and where I currently spend my days. It's also the place where as a child I began to create worlds in a variety of media, as a way of making sense of my life and to express and connect to the people and the world around me.

Sorana Santos

Exploring points of intersection between music and language in a range of styles and media, from concert to commercial music — I move between composing, songwriting, performing and writing, weaving elements of contemporary, electronic, and improvised music with experiments in written and spoken word to create contemplative and spacious worlds that explore sound, syntax, and symbology.
