The Ways in Which Peace Falls
Synopsis

Adrift upon an ice planet, human child Benedicta yearns for home; and yet the only one offering such a return to Earth is her ‘mother’, Heiðrún, the very creature destined to destroy it.

Set across five worlds, The Ways in Which Peace Falls is an origin story, a faery tale woven through mythology.

Traveling via a mysterious network of inter-planetary tunnels, Benedicta (a human child) and Heiðrún (a norn of the nornir, responsible for the fate of humankind), embark on a quest to reach Earth. Theirs is a relationship wrought in secrecy and distrust. Benedicta is searching for somewhere to belong, and yet Heiðrún has surreptitious intentions. Not only is she withholding the truth of Benedicta’s inception, but she is also failing in her responsibility as a norn and faces paying the ultimate price. All the while, Apep, Lord of Chaos, Tyrant of the Underworld, seeks to establish dominance in Heiðrún’s stead.
